At Woodillusion, every piece is the result of artisanal craftsmanship combined with a passion for design and fine materials. We create decorative wooden wall art that blends raw materials, technological precision, and artistic vision to bring unique creations to life.
My Background
Before founding Woodillusion, I worked for over ten years as a design draftsman in product development, mainly within the automotive and industrial design industries. This experience allowed me to build strong expertise in technical design, drawing, and 3D modeling tools.
Over time, I felt the need to refocus on a more personal and handcrafted form of creation, using technology to serve art. Wood naturally became my material of choice — a living, noble, and timeless medium capable of conveying warmth and emotion.
That’s how Woodillusion was born — a creative journey where design, innovation, and craftsmanship come together.
From Board Games to Wall Art
The story began with Woody Games, my first brand dedicated to creating handmade wooden board games. These projects allowed me to explore design, fabrication, and the pure joy of woodworking in all its forms.
However, the complexity and long development time of these games eventually led me to focus on a new form of expression: wall art.
Today, I design, adapt, or rework each digital model before crafting every Woodillusion artwork with the same care and passion as on the first day — from selecting the wood and designing or adapting the model to cutting, painting, assembling, and finishing.
A Modern Craft
My approach combines traditional know-how with modern tools:
- Design, modification, or adaptation of digital models
- Precision cutting and engraving using digital machines
- Manual finishing and meticulous quality control
- Photography and communication around my collections
Every step is carried out by myself, from selecting and preparing the design to shipping the artwork, ensuring the authenticity of true craftsmanship and impeccable quality.
Our Commitments
Woodillusion proudly supports the local and French economy. The wood used comes from sustainably managed European forests, and every stage of production — design or adaptation, cutting, painting, assembly, and finishing — is entirely done in France.
